Peak season will definitely make this town more lively with more shops open. We came during early April, and the beaches are empty (which could be great if you prefer to keep the beach to yourself). The drive around the island is interesting as most roads are narrow with hills. Recommend to go with the full insurance option if it's not expensive as precocious. The family upgraded our room which was very beautiful considering it was our first time in Mykonos. The Premium room offered its very own self contained suite with terrace over looking the coastal views, hotel is very quiet and calm despite only 5 mins away from the main town centre.

One of the greatest assets you can benefit from is the shuttle, which is the best solution if you want to go to the town (or a beach) and come back. It is way cheaper than what taxis will ask for.
