The only good thing about this hotel is that you can walk to the ferry terminal
Hotel Mercure Roscoff Bord De Mer is located in the city centre of Roscoff in Brittany. It is situated on the beach, 5 minutes from Ferry transfers to England, Ireland ans Spain.
Good choice of restaurants. (We have been going to L'Ecume de Jours for 30+ years and always have a warm welcome and a good meal.) Le Surcouf is also good. Les Arcades is good for lunch. There was a gull nesting outside the window there last week in a tiny inlet. Shopping is not amazing, but there are some interesting boutiques. Parking near the library is free from Sept to May, (I think) and is handy for the far end of the town near the church. The roadside gardens always have cheerful and imaginative planting, as do the roundabouts on the way out of the town. The tides are dramatic and often beautiful at sunset. Isle de Batz is worth a visit, as is the Jardin Exotique

The historic old port of Roscoff is lovely and well worth a visit. Great bars and restaurants. Regular ferries for the short trip to Île de Batz. Beautiful coastline to explore to the East and West - like Cornwall without the crowds!

Roscoff is an attractive small seaside town with a ferry terminal just on the outskirts. Its a wonderful introduction to typical Breton ambiance. Plenty of places to eat traditional Breton food such as galettes and moules. A selection of small shops to browse but no supermarket. ( Nearest is in St pol de Leon) all within walking distance of each other.

We only tend to stay in Roscoff overnight before catching the ferry but there is enough history, good eating, good views and vibes to extend for a second night. It is a lovely little port which boasts a seriously good exotic garden to rival London's Kew Gardens making it a wonderful place to chill.

We have loved Roscoff for many years.
We have loved Roscoff for many years. There is always something to see; just watching the tide changing and the glorious sunsets in the Autumn is uplifting. We have watched the growth of the restaurant L'Ecume des Jours with interest for many years; we have never had a poor meal there. Other good restaurants abound, so there is plenty of choice. The shops are looking up after the effects of the pandemic and are very welcoming. The tourist office has good and useful information about events. A visit to Isle de Batz is a must. The Exotic Garden is fascinating.
We chose this hotel because of the other excellent reviews and we are so pleased that we did as it was so much better than some of the other hotels we have used before. We had an upgrade to a Perle room and it was lovely- spacious and comfortable- particularly after over 3 weeks travelling in a campervan!
Breakfast was exceptional with many choices and delightful service.
Parking was easy in the car park opposite and free during May. Roscoff itself is well worth spending some time exploring.
We will revisit!
This hotel is in an excellent position away from the busy area but just a short walk to the port area. The building is old with loads of charm. Facilities were excellent with a comfortable bed and a modern bathroom. The lady on reception was very helpful and helped us store our bikes. She also booked a table for us at a very nice restaurant in the town. This is the second time this happened on this trip and something I have never experienced before on my trips to France!
The location is outside of Roscoff but not too far away with a nice rural feel: Breton horses in the fields, onion, asparagus, and lettuce farming. You can walk the farm lanes and enjoy the ambience. The house is a veritable antique museum with a lot of large Chinese pieces as well as old photos, prints, and furniture. The breakfast was typical continental European but with copious offerings - you won't go hungry!
We loved staying here. Juliette was so helpful and friendly, she helped us with parking and finding a great restaurant for dinner. The room is beautiful and very stylish and comfortable. It’s super close to everything we walked everywhere. The breakfast was fantastic, she made us eggs to our liking and there were great cheese and bread and the most delicious bread pudding. I highly recommend staying here.
Perfect location! We were foot passengers to Roscoff on the ferry and could walk to the hotel in about half an hour. The views were stunning and always changing with the tide. The staff were amazing, putting up with our very basic French and going above and beyond to help. The spa exceeded our expectations and the food was superb. We planned our next visit back on the journey home!
The room was exceptionally clean and nicely furnished. The location of Hotel Regina is great for visiting Roscoff, being slightly away from the main tourist area, and so much quieter than town centre alternatives. The hotel is basic, but very welcoming. Being able to park the car at the rear of the hotel was an unexpected and welcome boost!
It was a good location near the sea wall. No beach at this part of Roscoff, but its a pretty old Bretagne town, cobbled streets and gothic cathedral.
It was an easy 5 min drive to the ferry port the next morning.
I got parked nearby on the street overnight. That was handy.
The room (probably the last available) was on the 4th floor & therefore very quiet!
Parking on site was available, in the driveway of the hotel & in the garden area, but as the area was grassed, I can't imagine what it would be like after any rain - a quagmire, no doubt!
Reception and all the staff were exceptional! Location was perfect, the beautiful garden and view of the garden from our bedroom window were also excellent ... my sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel d'Angleterre, steps from the center of Roscoff!
This establishment is very well located, being very near the town centre of Roscoff and also the beach. The bed is very comfortable and clean .I love the terrace and the fact that self catering is possible. Also ,free parking, which is scarce in the town of Roscoff
The hotel has plenty of free parking and is only a 10 minute walk to the centre of Roscoff. The beds were comfortable and free bottles of water were provided in the room. Rooms very clean. Dog friendly (although not allowed in breakfast room)
Fantastic location, beautiful sea views, and comfortable furnishings. A peaceful retreat in central Roscoff, close to the coast as well as restaurants, cafes, and shops. Loved it!
Lovely spotlessly clean small hotel with a fantastic location for the Ferry Port. Gorgeous views from the room. Also allows dogs which is a bonus for us.
Great one-night stop-over Roscoff centre for bars/shops/restaurants prior to early morning Brittany Ferries departure. Plenty of easy parking nearby …..
